Influence of Structural Variation of Container Shipping Industry towards Ocean Freight Forwarders

The industry of container shipping lines (CSLs) has undergone a substantial structural change recently, including the withdrawal CSLs and reshuffling for strategic alliances. Previous research was limited on influence an industrial restructure towards operations ocean freight forwarder (OFF) companies. This study used similarity aggregation method (SAM) to complement this gap from survey 50 OFFs with varied experiences in Taiwan. results revealed that paid more attention rights obligations cargo claims observed details operational dynamics CSLs. They also had greater focus risk management. perceived competitive pressure generate business could be found their rapid responses changes shipper logistical decision-making requirements. Interestingly, brand reliability service quality existing no apparent variations.
